I believe in promoting optimal health and Well-being. Why? Well because I've experienced personally what the health issues of someone close to you can do to that loved one and the entire family unit. In the early 1980's, my first husband experienced a devastating health issue that led me to being a single parent and that had a great impact on the entire family. I always thought "What if I knew more about health issues?" and then "Maybe there was more that I could have done."
My mission then became to seek out answers and to learn as much as I could about health issues. I returned to college and completed a BSN degree in Nursing. I was also accepted into a specialized clinical program at Yale in Neurology. I then completed a masters degree in Psychology Counseling. I not only followed mainstream medical degrees, I also researched and learned about holistic methods that truly help people. You see, once you experience something personally, you don't want to waste your time with anything that does not work. That was part of my mission. It had to be beneficial to others.
You see my mission is to help individuals and families to prevent the devastation that illness can create and to help people with illnesses to cope and make their lives easier. Also, I've learned how important it is to know that life can be satisfying and meaningful beyond the diagnosis.

The Biofeedback and Stress Management Services of Greater Hartford, LLC (previously the Biofeedback and Stress Management Clinic of Manchester) is one of the oldest existing, continuously operating biofeedback clinics in Connecticut. It was established in the 1970’s by four medical doctors and a psychologist. Even though it is a non-medication approach, the staff consists of licensed health care professionals and will coordinate care with the client’s medical doctors if needed. The clinic works with symptom based problems and performance improvement in the arts, academics and sports. Modalities used include biofeedback of all forms including neurofeedback. We also use psychotherapy, NLP, and in some cases imagery or hypnotherapy.
